ive lived in america for nearly 6 months and as much as i loved it, i did really miss this country.. a lot of what we take for granted here doesnt take place or exsist in other countries, i count my self lucky to have grown up in the uk this country has done a lot for me in comparison with what ive put into the country...

however for my career it will be highly advantageous to work abroad and to travel to take in different approaches to my job...

    where you thinking liam?

i hear france is nice :)

I really like Holland but if I lived there I'd just hope that my Dutch relatives didn't come and visit cos they would do my head in

Given the chance, i'd leave this dump in a flash.

Im sure i'd miss england and some of the people, and of course i think we probably have some of the best clubs/clubbers/dj's in the world......

.... BUT those are only 10% of your existance - the tax, goverment and the general attitude and make up of this place completely gets me down. Theres more to life than working 9-5 just to stand still ... other countries dont put up with that kind of thing like we do.

some of you are well in cloud cookoo land

the grind is there in every country - you can't escape it, maybe on holiday yeah..

'somewhere with lots of culture'

we have a strong international cultural identity, maybe its because you can't identify with it yourself...

what do you do for this country?

my only real gripe is that the weathers shit & the apathy of people here to make a difference...

    so true

I would like to move abroad to experience a different culture and way of living , not because I hate this country. The main gripe I have is the recent lack of return for an increase in taxes.

Its so easy to critisicise this country but sooooooo many people suffer from 'grass is greener' syndrome
