Used to love Playrooms. Best DJ booth I've played in. Sugar was a cool venue too but the owner turned the music off when we did Nice there. Too many gay people in our club apparently....

I don't trash anything... I speak as I find for myself and from my own experience... As I've said publicly and to the guys at the club in person, I wish you every success.

What Loo Reed says is between you two, it has nothing to do with me.

Just saying that I agree it's one of the most proficiently promoted nights in Newcastle. Most of the big nights at Foundation (Promise included) have the promotion nailed and IMO this is why a lot of the smaller night fail...they don't get it right!

lol work for feedback? I probably earn more in a month than they will in a year... I can hand on heart say i'm under no mans payroll.

You only need to visit stoneloves messageboard to realise how sick of the same old sound their punters are, rival nights fill up to capacity even when they're housed in shitty venues with soundsystems that would of sounded horrible 30 years ago when they were first purchased.

Stonelove may well of had its day, unless they employee new dj's or splash out on some new records to match their new venue it might not last the course.

Copying stoneloves play list?!?!?!? HAHAHAHA who the fuck is copying stoneloves playlist? If Feedback play the tines, strokes and killers on loop I'll fucking slate them too!

Digital and its children strike me as arrogant as fuck, money doesnt buy success - a new venue does not garuantee you status as the saviours of newcastle nightlife!

Wax:On chucked lots of money at a night and have yet to prove themselves as a long term success, just as the digital club... I'm reserving my judgement for digital till I've been there... but dont count your chickens before they've hatched :D

lol balls is it. stonelove is succesful for a variety of reasons... one of the biggest being its location.

flyering a night in todays clubbing climate is only a tiny part of a nights success.

I like Foundation as a venue - dont have a problem with it. Think its a really good space.

Just Shindig needed that new lease of life that the new venue gives it.

Nice interview in the Metro today aswell Mark

    :)

    disagree strongly!

you can have the best night in the best venue in the best location with the best dj's but if nobody knows about it you'll still loose a fortune!

then you dont understand the dynamics of marketing.

the most powerful tool any marketeer has is word of mouth. If people talk about your night - they visit it... Flyering is one way of generating interest - but one of many.

I know plenty of nights that have heavily flyered and still failed.

Joe out of interest have you ever promoted a night?

As for Foundation , I am absolutely sick of the sight of it but that happens with all places if you go there for a long time...will be nice to go back every so often though
