Tall Ships??? Anyone been down yet? Has anyone used to the bus link from Gateshead yet? Really want to take the bairn down tonight, at 5, not for the fireworks, but want to know how busy it's going to be, and how often the bus link is, etc
Re: Tall Ships??? the bus runs every 10 minutes. its going to be rammed, last 2 days you couldn't move and this is the big one - takes 10 minutes to cross the bridge.. worth it though the kids will love looking at the boats and you'll love looking at the sailors.
I'd make sure you get a metro into town, went shopping on Monday and took ages to find a parking space They had closed off the whole of Warners car park aswell for some reason
off the tyne bridge.. thought they where as it ends on thursday? its been like a saturday night from 9am till 4 am every day at my place since sunday.. wish someone would sink the damn things...
Firworks start at 10.25 tonight going off from 4 seperate locations along the quayside Was on news this morning, they advise you to get down few hours earlier to guarantee a place And as for the quaylink buses I wouldn't bother. They are free at the moment but are sooooo busy and I took me 35 moins to get from Gateshead Metro to Gateshead Quays I so should have walked
i cant wait til they go it takes me an hr to get home from work coz of all the traffic and roads closed off
I was too lazy to go so my mate who lives at the Baltic pointed his webcam out of the window so I could have a look.
