anyone ever been... .... on holiday for x mas and new year?? iv just booked up to go to Tenerife for x mas and new year never been to tenerife before dont even know if it goin to be busy then?
Wouldnt want to, xmas is a family time and should be spent with you're families/friends... imo of course

I have been on holiday every year for the past 8 years at Christmas and New Year, the past 3 years have been to Tenerife. Where abouts are you staying?
It can't be a named hotel if it's allocated on arrival. I've only been with my parents, so havn't really had a chance to get out on the nighttimes, but Xmas and New Year is getting much much busier and popular with people wanting to get some decent weather. Last year the weather wasn't as good as it has been previously but there was still about a weeks worth of Sunbathing. Xmas Eve and New Years Eve are both celebrated really well as well and you get these party packs with party hats, streamers etc for midnight and on Ne wYears Eve they have big fireworks parties on the beach which are amazing. Everywhere is still really busy at this time, and every wehre I've stayed has always been fully booked, with the New Year week being even busier as more groups come out and Xmas week is more couples and families. It's defo somethign worth doing though, it's totally different to be in a hot country when everyone else is in the snow, can't imagine not going away for xmas and New Year, although I have been told I can't go this year, but Im sure I'll still manage to sneak on!!
it maye be one of three and they have the name of all thre but find out wen they get there or they could be guarnetted a resort minimum star then you can sort of work out which one it will be

I went to south africa, for christmas and new year once, it was fucking lush, i was swimming about in the pool went it hit twelve o'clock, it was so warm it even through it down proper tropical thunderstorms, but I didn't care cause it was so warm and I was in the pool so I was already wet, proper good feeling it raining so hard and not even caring.
Re: anyone ever been... jsut got back a few weeks ago its an ok place like we were miles from the beach but we just stayed around the hotel pool all day you will be absolutely sick of the PR by the first night :evil: "alright lads were you off to??" fuck off and die you horrible bastards if they ask you where your from (and they will over and over) just make something up like say checkoslovakia and when they ask you again the next night say you will coome to there bar if they can remember where you and your mates are from
i would never go away for xmas, id feel like a uncaring godless fuck. New Year on the other hand is a great time for a holiday with Goa my fav Jan destination.
Re: anyone ever been... Ive been tp portugal for xmas....was younger tho and was with my family. Seemed ok, not really that busy, but its what u make it-was nice to chill out, but weird the fire not being on when we opened our pressies!
