    How can you judge when the new movie is just out today? From the clips, Depp looks like a very amusing Wonka. Totally different from Wilder tho. I will decide tomorrow after I've been to see it. :D

    Wilder anyday, its sad to think as well years ago the people who made the original and acted in it got next to nowt for doing so - there was a documentry on it not so long ago with them all who they could contact talking about it :up:

    Which brings me to the point i wonder how much they got for the re-make in this modern day :rolleyes:

    I'd say Wilder but i havent seen the new one.

    Apparently Johnny Depp was made for the role and its his best piece of acting he's done so ill reserve judgment.

    Wilder was fantastic in the role tho and maybe Johnny can out do him but i doubt it and i seriousely doubt this film will better the original.

    Its really really hard to decide! Depp plays him a lot different to Wilder obviously but I kinda like the freakiness of Depp (what he says, his mannerisms etc). Good movie tho! :D

    The new film is well good! I would say I prefer the new version, however I am biased as I love Johnny Depp!
