Prem attendences are plumpting this season, many clubs will be forced to lower prices, or maybe its just sunderland pulling the avrage down ???
I think it is the prices to be fair, the Football bubble is bursting, people prefer to sit at home or in the pub these days.
Though I can't complain, Irish premier league games are £6 in to stand, but we average 300 a game.................proper football, you can smell the deep heat and everything.
I know it was 16 quid to see Middlesbrough play Leeds at the Riverside a few years ago, more than 30 for a top table clash. Add that over a season, plus drink and food, soon adds up.
For a farther a child to see Chealsea the cheapest option is 380 as they have NO conssesions..... I pay £30 per game and thats a digrace i remeber the gallowagate paying £1.50 on the gate
I think i paid £22 each for me and my dad to go to old trafford to watch man u vs chelsea last season
With reagrds to Sunderland, I thought they were giving away really cheap tickets to schools and doley's So why are they not filling the stadium after getting promoted back to tthe prem, I thought Sunderland sfans were meant to be as passionate as geordies but we managed to fill the stadium for every home game even tho we are playing shite
premiership attendances are down but not by the massive ammount some seem to think ! Figures produced in the daily mail suggest that the avaerage so far this season is 32,898 while the average for the whole of last season was 33,967 and baring in mind crowds tend to increase as the season goes on I dont really see a problem hear . However it also goes on to say that we have the most infalted prices for tickets anywhere . Get this you pay the same money to watch crewe alexander at home as you would to watch byern munich !:spangled: in 1990 when the fa broaught out a report on how to cure the ailes of football it suggested that the price of tickets should be £6.00 now adding inflation to that means now a fair price would be what £11.00 ......... whens the last time anybody paid £11. to watch a 1st division side never mind premiership ! prices are a disgrace but crowds arnt down that much !
