Which airport is closest to brixton ??

    Which airport is closest to brixton ??

    Trying to work out how to get to brixton to try n work out how much it would cost for flights / trains etc ??? :spangled:


    Ive tried google but cant seem to find the answers im after !!

    It will take you about an hour from Gatwick or Heathrow. 2 trains needed from either.

    From Stansted its more like 90 mins. 3 trains needed though.

    Tbh, your best off getting the train down to Kings Cross, then just getting the tube. Ive managed to get tickets down to London on the 15th Oct for £28 return.

    You can get a single ticket there for £21 Clicky but doesnt seem to let you travel back from Brixton on the sunday :confused: but you can get a single back to newcastle from Kings Cross for £18 Clicky

    between 3 and 3.5 hours, depending which train you get

    Best to get a train. Flying is too much hassle at each end IMHO.

    If you go on www.thetrainline.com the cheapest return is £88. But if you look at single prices, you can get there for £10, and back for £18.

    Cheers lads , trains it is then , for some reason i thought it would take forever by train !!!

    Looks like this trip mite actually happen :D :D :D

    Plane =

    20 mins - metro to Airport
    45 mins - check in time
    60 mins - flight
    10 mins - walk from plane
    45 mins - train to london

    = 3 hours journey time

    hardly worth the bother
