Cdj100 Info from djstore.co.uk Any offers? Maybe too basic for most of you lot, but decent for beginners.
I've never been on decks in my life but want to start.. and want cdj's. What could i do with these besides learn to beatmatch etc..? Don't try to fool me by telling me it makes coffee or anything..
you could learn to mix on them but they dont have any flash effects or anything so if you get into it you will want to upgrade within a year or so. I think its best to learn on something basic though cos then you can concentrate on learning to beatmatch and do simple mixes without the temptation of fucking about with effects before you know what your doing
What Lee said. Plus they've got a couple of effects, but after the novelty of playing with them wears off they sound a bit gimmicky. They're perfect for playing around on and learning though. Tyronnster> Have been checking ebay and gumtree.com and they'll easy go for £150 on there. The CDJ is at my parents' in Whickham, and i live in London. I'm coming home for the Easter weekend, so if anyone off the board wants to buy it can meet then and show you it works etc first. If not then i'm bringing back to London on the 19th April and will flog it down here.
Yeah I know.. I think my original idea of saving up for a pair of cdj1000's is a terrible idea I'm going on holiday now in July too so i need to look at budget stuff if i actually ever want to start. I dunno if I'll be able to afford anything in the near future though as I need to pay £150 deposit for the holiday, then pay it off, then save some spending money.
Cos i posted a link to this thread for his attention in the main forum. The CDJ is still available by the way if anyone's interested?
