Can't you ask them to buy you one? If it's not part of your normal uniform (which they may or may not require you to buy), and it's for a one-off, they have no right to expect you to buy your own. Particularly as it's not something you would wear anyway.

I know exactly! Everyone else has them because she bought some for the staff but I didnt work through the last one just afterwards. I just dont want her to paint my face Thats why I thought if there was something I could just wear that looked like I was joining in but wasnt an actual England shirt.

Just tell her you have very sensitive skin and that face paint will aggravate it. I'm sure you can find something red and white to wear without buying an actual England shirt!
