Excercises I know theres a few fitness freaks on here - How can I tone up my thighs? I want to lose weight on them but I dont seem to be at the gym What excercises are good for it? Thanks :flowers: *edit* and I cant even spell exercises
I do a muscle mix class each week which tones my legs and I run and do some squats etc. Theres not as much to do with ur legs at my gym. Mainly arms and tums
Does your gym not offer a free consulting service? Mines does and you tell them what you want to do and they give you a two month program to follow. But I don't have thunder thighs so i can't really give you any good advice

How about you cycle down here once a week then we do some aerobic sexercises then you can cycle home? That should do it
It's all on the bikes, you have to get in different positions and keep putting more resistance on the peddles etc. I think it's a laugh and you end up with sweat dripping off you
Ha ha i had typed that was going to change it as i knew someone would say something. The bikes aren't your normal bikes you get in the gym, they're slightly different, there's one position where you stand up and peddle, one where you stick your backside out and have to keep your body still and only move your legs etc, you have to alternate between the positions and keept adding resistance
squats are the best for your legs with the barbell on your shoulders get right down and you cant cheat yourself i would recomend you use 5 kg each side of the bar for you rach if thats a bit heavy for you just try it with the bar which is 20 kg any ways

Maybe i can do it on my own bike :think: Duncan - There is no way on this planet I would cycle 30 miles for the promise of anything Andrew - Would that work with just dunbells? I dont have or want a barbell. And squats as in crouching for a wee or lunges?
theres all sorts you can do, use the leg press for your quads use the thigh adductor to tone the sides and you arse use the recumbant or verticle cycles / cross trainer to trim unwanted fat from them aswell. which gym do you use?
if you have fatty tissue on you legs that you're wanting rid of do a few squats & lunges when you get up before you have breakfast... thats when there's most fat oxidation and thus most fat reduction as your body is still in a state of fasting... make sure you eat something within 30mins of finishing tho! its it the anterior or posterior of your thigh's?
