Because brid is a snowboarder.... you've never left silksworth.

Reading you talking out of your arse in attempt to enhance your online image is tiresome.

Commenting that I dislike snowboarders because most of the ones I've come into contact with are utter twats is hardly trying to uphold this mythical online image you seem to be so hung up with, is it?

    You're being very over-analytical.

    Joe

Doctor Hew - you're talking rubbish mate.

The whole Ski/Snowboard rivallry is utterly pointless anyway, who actually gives a shit?

Now get back to the nursery slope with your luminous green one-piece.

    Opinion is irrelevant.

I just find it irritating when people do the whole anti-snowboarder routine, just for the sake of it. I match absolutely none of the criteria you specified, just as im sure you arn't german and wear bright one-pieces.

Or perhaps you are and dont like the fact that snowboarders are way cooler than you.

I've met hundreds of snowboarders and never met one kid that wants to be a computer character :spangled:

the same kids that snowboard tend to skate and bmx, allies desperatly trying to project the correct image :D

    Re: A new tack...

the same can be said about any long term skier...

accident statistics are pretty much level between the sports... I had to look into it when I took a girl snowboarding - she refused to do it as it looked "more dangerous than skiing"... pssshhh

For the record, I used to skate (briefly) and I used to BMX.

If I'm brutally honest, I'll admit that I really fancied snowboarding when I started skiing, but that soon faded after I nearly ran into about twenty of them who had fallen over on my first day on the slopes.

snowboarding is harder to learn, but after your first day on a board you can stay on your feet.

Its kind of like comparing inline skating to skateboarding - when your starting out you'll get more out of rollerblading - but after a while it becomes boring, where as skating is harder to pick-up but once you've nailed the basics there is much more room for progression.

although in the last few years skiiers have got a lot more adventerous.... when I was a nipper you'd never find a skiier in a park, I like the fact that parks are full of them now :D

About 500 for a week in europe including ski passes.

    then 70 for a weeks board/boots hire.

about 150 for a jacket, and 50 for gloves, and 50-150 for ski pants.

50 quid a night for apres (getting wasted in the bars/clubs)

30 quid a day snowboarding lessons .... need about 2-3 of those.

Your looking at about a bag of sand for a weeks boarding. But it will be the best grand youve ever spent.
