by later I take it you are referring to all the dog on a string types that never come to detox that'll be versus the smart dressed crowd who blag in for free

How:spangled: All DJ's stated on the line up are far from Established, so it would be stupid to give someone who hasn't had much exposure or not really that well known a 2-3 hour set? given that Simon Patterson has been Jules's A&R for some years now & quite well known as a producer, he still hasn't really had much exposure as a DJ, an hour each whilst giving a variation of new up & coming names is suffice in my book? The more 'well known' or Esatblished DJ's that Goodgreef have put on have always had longer sets & the line up has been cut shorter.
quick would prefer 5hours of elctro boredom where the accomplished bedroom mixer takes you on an epic journey and educates your mind
Promise was the same on NYD wasnt it? And that was still a great night. Whoevers on last had better hope the rest dont go over theyre hour tho
havent you seen me hating on electro lately melt its so not happening anymore Proudy - fair enough but for me (as a punter) it works much better giving people longer than 60 minutes so they can actually get some kind of groove going. All djs want to make an impact and if anything, it will encourage them to proper blare it out and try and make a name for themselves which isnt really that productive for the programmig of a night ...plus 60 minutes is only 6 songs in trance land non
it wouldnt matter if it was goodgreef or fabric, i could still find a fault somewhere to moan about (even though i wont be going)
plus 60 minutes is only 6 songs in trance land non 10 minutes a track is back in the old 'epic trancer days' when breakdowns lasted the full duration of the night & more emotional than seeing your cat get run over LOL! Iv'e always manages to squeeze about 10-12 tracks into an hours set so it suits me ok I suppose? I hear what your saying tho in reagrds to the building & stucture of the nights music flow, ideally an hour & half for residents & 2-3 hours for a headliner, it's just with this months line-up it would be a risk to structure the set times like this if they turn out to not suit the crowd, on the other hand if they do the business it puts us in good stead to book them for the future maybe?
