Re: £600000 house up for grabs in raffle!! "Tickets are expected to go on sale in the middle of this week. See The Northern Echo for details"
There's an £800k one in a raffle further down the country. They're not going to make the draw until they've raised about £800k in ticket sales though. Just a good way of getting it marketed really.
i think its a crackin idea, especially with a reserve so if you dont sell plenty tickets the winner wins the money from sales.
I'm definately buying a ticket, would sell the house if I won then buy one for about £250k nd go wild with the remainder
This is what happens anytime I put the lottery/football bets on etc. Always spend the money before I have got it. Like right now I am looking on the net at new clothes for the weekend when my £20 double on Zenit St Petersberg & Fenerbache comes returns £405 tonight
thats just a comment from some joe public on the page, where did they get this info from? If you win the house i doubt they're still gonna be living there when u get it!!! But i suppose u'd best check the t&c's.
just mentioning it as it seems a bit of a weird contractual agreement, to win something and have a live in tenant.
just read the t&c's on http://www.winfellowshall.com and number 25 states you still get the rental monies but how much rent are they gonna charge?
The more i think about this the more it seems like a crafty "scam". They take £5 per entry for the solicitors and £5 for charity, of which the bloke is the director. if they dont sell enough tickets he gets money into his pocket as charity director from the ticket sales and they get to keep the house. If they do sell enough and someone wins it, they get to stay there for a year at really cheap rent. hmmm.....
he owes TVR & One North east hundreds of thousands of pounds, thats why he is selling! He is a conman, he tried to sue and lost so now has to pay all their court costs etc, hence the sale of his house.
