1210 mk3 Does anyone have any they want to sell??? Dont think there will be anyone but its worth a try before i buy a new set!!!
why don't you jus buy a 2nd hand set of Mk2s? There's absolutely no difference in the motor. A recessed power switch, dipless pitch and quartz lock are the only differences in the decks, apart from the price. Technics last ages anyway. I know someone who's had one of his 11 yrs, and it's still workin fine. There's always Mk2s for sale too, so you should pick a pair of 'em up no bother. Then, if you;re still looking for a mixer 'round Chrimbo time, you can buy my 275
nope....they is our most treasured possession........still got some kam ones to sell if any1s interested?????
VERY TRUE MATE! My mate has had his 1210's for 9 years and dropped them down the stairs twice, and they still hold their pitch for days lol , somthing goes wrong with em you just replace the part. Ive had mine 2 years and wouldnt even think of buying Mk3's, only difference is the power button and slight mods to the pitch control. Ad Mag 2nd hand Mk2's around £500 mark?
On average, yeh. Depends upon the age and stuff tho. I saw a pair in there for £300 a while ago I think. I originally wanted the Mk3 before I got my Mk2s, until I looked into them, and the prices. Mk3 was about £100 per deck more expensive than the Mk2 when I got 'em, which was last September, when the Mk3 came out. It was pointless releasing the mk3 anyway, you can;t relaly improve on perfection!
Yeah the prices do depend on condition etc, but as u say Mk2's were fine, perfect in fact. I heard about problems with knocking the power off whilst cueing etc.. and I do like the ideas of the dipless pitch, Technics just did what Vestax were doing with their turntables by taking the *dip* out the middle. Mk2/3's can never be beaten (but Im sure a few vestax fans will disagree) Mk2's - More Character.
I really want new ones but with them being so new i thought i would ask to see if anyone has some really good condition ones!!! I dont want to buy any mk2 for dead cheap from ad mag coz there is probs a reason like they are scratched to fuck or something!!! I know there isnt much difference between the mk2 and mk3 but i dont mind paying for the difference for a set of nice decks that are gonna last me a while! And the extra features are just a plus!!! Im going to get a djm 600 mixer i think
£625, possibly cheaper. Was offered it for £645 on finance @ a certain place in Newcastle, but I still got better offer
Sorry been away doing my fun fun fun binary coding algebra work I cant remember where it was i did a search and it was the cheapest pice i could find But what an setup Technics 1210mk3 + Pioneer djm 600 try and beet that!!!!
ok ok so Im jealous of the both of ya!, only used DJM 500 a couple of times, then Richard's 600 in he comp! top, top mixer!, cant fault (or) beat em!
IT ACTUALLY WORKED OUT CHEAPER FOR US TO GET MK 3'S FROM RICHER SOUNDS.....THEY DID US A REALLY GOOD DEAL WITH A VESTAX V275 MIXER. IF U SHOP AROUND N GET A FEW QUOTES THEN THEYL DO A BETTER DEAL FOR U......AT THE END OF THE DAY THEY GET EM IN IN BULK SO THEY CAN AFFORD TO CUT THE PRICE DOWN NICELY
Cant really be bothered with the effort of shopping around but if someone has done it before then maybe it would save some time!!! Will probs get them online and delivered to my door coz I’m so lazy!!!
If you're handy with a soldering iron you can take out the centre dent on 1210 mk2s. There is a site with instructions on how to do it but i'm fucked if i can remember where.
