    A pets death...

    Why is it so tough?

I've been readying myself for this for the past few weeks.. but finally this morning the little dude looked pretty wrough.. think he might not still be here when I get home 2night :(

I don't really know why I'm making this thread... could turn out to be the most miserable and depressing thread in the history of the board...

    Roll on depression..

    Thanks

I'm currently trying to make myself come to terms with the fact that I might have to get him put down..

Its hard... but its better for him if he is in pain..

It's horrible when your dog dies. It's not the same as a brother or sister, but it's still a family member. :(

but really though, if its for the best its for the best innit. If there is nothing you can do, then so be it. Here is a nice little story about someone sending their dog off to doggy heaven, i think it just shows you have to remember all the good things about your doggy and not the pain or anything.

Liked this too, even though I dont believe in god, I believe in dog :)

My best friend closed his eyes last
night, As his head was in my hand.
The Doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.

    The thoughts that scurried through
my head, As I cradled him in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
    And OH...his many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart thats filled with tears
    Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
    HE's installed a 'doggy-door"!

WARNING Do not read if you are feeling emotional/fragile/are at the office/without kleenex.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

 Bless. I need to stop

but its lovely though, comforting, and thats why you are filling up,

you arent feeling sad through pain or unhappyness you see

much better than mourning crying. :)

its all ok, these things happen, granted they arent the nicest things in the world, but it has to be dealt with.

Don't worry, I didn't read it all this time. Crying in the office is not a good look.

    God I'm pathetic.
