    Abortion

I know this is a bit of a morbid subject but Im curious to know what people's opinion's are on this? If you've selected "depends on circumstances", please state what. :)

I agree with people having the choice to abort their baby, if unwanted or for medical reasons. I think if it is for unwanted tho, that the girl should have to be put onto some form of contraceptive, if she isnt already, as a follow up. Im not sure if thats the case already tbh.

I was disturbed recently to read that a baby had been born at however many weeks that is the latest you can abort a baby, and survived and was growing up quite normally. That must be quite far on then??? :spangled:

Ive known a few people that have gone thru this at a young age and altho devestated at the time (understandably) later agreed it was the best thing to do at the time.

Opinions? please dont turn this into a fight :(

I definitely agree with the option being there, but think there needs to be some decent sex education to reduce the need for it in certain circumstances (eg young girls getting pregnant due to sheer ignorance).

i think you should be able to whatever the circumstances. Everyone should have the choice, and not be judge by others, or other peoples veiws on it.

Think It's totally up to the individual and the option should be available.

There are so many things to consider when you become pregnant, and understandably some people are just not ready for this and feel they can not offer the baby enough:(

It's sad either way and not an easy decision to be taken lightly.

I'm just saying that I wouldn't judge a person and tbf would have to think very long and hard about what to do if I was to accidently fall pregnant now:confused:

I agree, I defiantely think there should be a choice.

It's stupid the way that some people go on about the ethics/morals surrounding it...understandably it's a touchy subject, but IMO it's better to abort a child where necessary than bring it up in poverty and poor conditions with bad parents.

I think you should have a decision.
But i also have mixed views. Is it best to get an abortion or have the baby then put it up for adobtion? The reason i think this is because i was adopted, when i was six weeks old. I was given another chance, I have wonderful parents to whom i am so so gratful.

On my circumstances at the moment, I wouldnt have one, as I have been with my boyfriend for well over 5 years now, and we hold a gud trust etc with each other and know we could handle this together if it came to it, as we have already discussed this together

But I would agree on the fact that it is up to that individual to decide, and shouldnt be judge for it.

Tbh dan, you would never be able to tell u were, i did know though  have done for a while:)

How on earth would you be able to tell if someone is adopted? Unless they have a totally different skin colour to their adoptive parents, it would be nearly impossible, as lots of children don't particularly resemble their parents anyway.

I think that if people have financial difficulties or medical reasons or even be too young its understandable that some people would want an abortion...

but when people are 5 1/2 weeks i think its very unfair as the baby actually kicks and even hicupps...

I think it would be better off giving the baby up for adoption, cos the baby will have a future and a chance in life!!!
I know that if I fell pregnant and was in a long term relationship I dont think i would ever give the baby up or have an abortion, but thats my opinion! :cry2:

Indeed, but I would imagine being pregnant for nine months may not be an option for everybody, even if they give the baby up at the end. :)
