if I'm honest, I'd forgot Nucastle existed until I saw a notification in an old email account.

High probability I'm talking to my self here but it was worth spending 20 minutes trying to remmeber my username/password just to sift through the absolute bollocks I used to post

Everyone blames Facebook for the outcome of forums, but are they really to blame? It seems to me like Facebook and other soccial media are dying due to the constant censoring.

I look forward to the day we go decentralized via blockchain.

Anyone holding any Bitcoin or Alts?

The way Facebook grew was brilliant when it happened - forums didn't stand a chance. What I'm noticing now (for years now) is that when you are in the music community, say you joined a group e.g. (made up) Trance Lovers UK, and you genuinely were interested in it but hadn't liked or replied to things Facebook showed you in the first few days, you'll never see posts from that group again.

There are music groups with 10,000 members - someone drops a brilliant clip of a youtube Trance video that would obviously interest some, and it gets either no likes or one or two - because the algorythm is trying to reduce how many things you see that take you off facebook.

To me that doesn't serve the music community - I've literally had to learn how to post things in a certain way to have a chance of my new stuff being seen.

On a forum you could literally click on Mixes and find new stuff and if it is buzzing with chatter it'll keep going back to the top. Forum software is better than this version too - you can get notifications etc when someone replies if you want to Watch a thread.

I think forums - with the right promotion and awareness - could finally have a chance of coming back if they are simplified and I know one which has done so successfully.

Better late than never. Monero is KING  I wish I'd bought more of them when they were below £10.
