An original present for a lady friend?

One of my m8's seems to have gone through quite a bit of hunting and thinking to get me a few presents for christmas.. not necessarily expensive but something she thinks suits me and is different from anything someone else would buy me.

I'm having to do the same but i'm useless when it comes to buying things like this so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for an original present. Maybe something you can personalize.

    Post suggestions here ...

    ps. No dildo's.

Yeah but that' not really original.. plus I dunno what she likes and it needs to be a suprise really and I don't want to end up buying her some that she hates.

I forgot to mention that she lives in Birmingham and i'm up here in the NE :p

    does she like art?

    does she like porn?

    does she like staying fit?

    does she like eating healthily?

does she enjoy a good bubble bath?

does she look after her nails?

does she like to be pampered?

    does she like gardening?

    does she drive?

and always remember - no proper laydee will be upset with REALLY expensive make-up (a funky compact, lippy, etc etc)

pps. I'm not trying to wind my way into her heart. I think she has a boyfriend

It needs to be something she can keep.. something original. I was going to get a picture made in the metrocentre where you give them 2 pics and they make them into 2 panels of pop art. They were too pricey though :(

    Thats a crap present.

Why can't blokes think of original stuff! Its not that hard!

For example, last year I produced a 20 minute slideshow thingy of all the photos from the events etc that me and Georgina had been to and set it to her fave tunes and put little captions for each pic (some funny, some romantic etc). I also got her a photo album and put all the best photos in it.

Obviously, that would only work if you had loads of pictures tho.

Who is the lady? Have you done anything memorable this year or anything? Maybe you could get her something relating to that if you have.

Original and thoughtful presents are so much nicer I think.

Hmmm, sounds like you might need to be careful if she has a boyfriend.

If you're a bedroom DJ how about a mix of her fav music to CD ... that's easy to send.

If not, what about one of those Red Letter Day things ????

I dunno :spangled: I dunno how much these things cost. That shop was starting them at about £35 or so but i wanted 2 panels :(

I've just seen a 'custom calendar' so i might do one of them with pics of me and my m8's that she knows. Can't go wrong with that idea really. Something as a 2nd gift would go well too.

Some kind of pampering session would do the trick like, one of my colleagues at work just got over cancer so I got her a voucher for a full body aromatherapy massage & it went down really well.

This thread reeks of sadness. I presume you really love this 'friend'?

Just tell her how you feel rather than pussy footing around trying win her heart with a well thought out gift. You might even get yer hole.

Or even if u not, u could still put some of her favourite tunes on a CD. Maybe a selection of tunes from an event that you both went to which was good? I've done that too.

    Red letter days?

I'm not a bedroom DJ though :( However - I'd like to be so if any of you fele like I deserve a present you know what to get me :D

The boyfriend thing isnt a problem really.. We've known each other for years but never see each other. I seen her at Global Gathering but I was on another planet so i'm not sure what we did :dunce: Anyway.. I'm not planning on sending her a 7ft bear with a 'I love you' heart on it. Just a gift or two thats he can keep that is a bit different to the things you give your friends that you see all the time. Know what i mean?

I don't really love this 'friend'

The fact is, she's made a bit of a fuss about this for the last few weeks and told me things like 'oh my mam has just phoned and said she's got the second half of your present' and 'I've sent it now.. you've cost me £5 in postage! btw it's wrapped up in a shoe box with pretty wrapping paper' etc etc

I however, haven't even looked for anything and I'd feel a bit shady if i sent her a box of roses and a christmas card :D
