assylum families only get coupons for food int that right Joe.

THE average asylum-seeking family receives more than £16,000 a year tax free in benefits, the Government has admitted.

Immigration minister Beverley Hughes disclosed the figure to a committee of MPs which is looking into asylum policy.

The cash is worth £20,500 a year before tax and is more than many teachers and nurses receive in pay.

    Taken from AOL news.

So Joe, after a long stand off period I took, seems to me the truth is now filtering out.

No more milk tokens for Joe.

That was also on the front page of the Daily Mail today in typical right wing style.

Even if a family got 16k, thats 16k split between how many people? And they seem to be comparing this figure against how much a single "british" person earns..... Hardly seems like a kings ransom to me.

16 grand is jack-shit, it must be difficult to find jobs with language barriers etc getting in the way, if they're here for a genuine reason they should maybe even be granted a little more money or better help with finding jobs etc:)

yeah i know peeps it aint a lot. however the point i am making is that when Joe and myself had our little, tiff, he said that all the assylum families received was tokens for food, no cash and NO OTHER BENEFITS.

    this is what he wrote.

as for what i would give them, si, is a job. There are that many lazy arses on the dole having an easy life and jobs are always going, you just gotta look.

If we cant even get the lazy arses of britain working instead of sponging off the country - then why should we make assylum seekers do it.

Definatley, if you take a moment to think why they come over to our country, IMO its for them to live a decent life in a safer place to live, you need a job in this country to even half a half-decent life. I think they should be given more help in finding jobs.
