    BAD DJ's

Was in Apartment last night, the DJ played a few mixes that were so far apart the music nearly stopped.
It was either former Promise man Matty Forster or some kid called Skelton, the Dj in question wore a cap that floats above his head US trucker style.

Next poor DJ was the bloke @ Stonelove who has the ZZ top beard his mixing was the good old crossfade it across style at the end of the record.

Maybe there is place in the DJ world for Geordie & his breakbeat trance.

been there (appartment) quite a few times and i have to say ive noticed it quite a few times, i think the loose interest as it tends to be not as lively as a normal club, no excuse though

    yeah, it's meant to be.

    prolly for the best :)

I work every so often for a little italian restaurant round the corner - they need a party dj every so often so I take all my pop stuff round and play for them.

It's not exactly foundation, but it's a good laugh :)

Firstly I find it hard to believe that you got offered a Saturday night at Apartment..

Secondly I find it hard to believe that IF you did get offered it, you turned it down. At the end of the day it's a Saturday night gig in Newcastle, but I understand it might clash with you playing at Shindig! :monkey:

It isn't even the right sort of tossers its poseurs as opposed to fashionistas like myself ;)

The very fact they'd let some1 in with a burton suit on speaks volumes.

Thats cause 99.9% of the people in newcastle have burton suits, and the other 0.01% are hairdressers who might shop at cruise, but have one brain cell to share between themselves. :D

I never said i got offered the appartment, i said i got the chance to play it, i work above the place and got talking to the management while it was being re-fitted, explained what music i play which apparently was what they were looking for, i seen the venue and thought it werent my type of place, i prefer the more lively crowd, as for it `clashing with my saturdays`, at the the time i had a friday and saturday night residency at a nightclub in town, i have since given up the saturday. At the minute I am being offered work for about 4 or 5 nights a week, so not proceeding with one venue isnt going to make to much of a difference. Can I just ask, what prompted you to say this, you dont know me, what i play, where or how i play either???

Re: Re: Re: Re: BAD DJ's

I think it could be anywhere and it would have the same problem in newcastle.

Unfortunatly Newcastle aint stylish/affluent enough to support a riff raff free bar and I suppose a pikey in a burton suit is better than a pikey in a burton "geezer" t-shirt :D

But the prick feeling the need to talk to me disgusts me.. I mean when my grandparents were alive the hoi poloi wouldn't dream of talking to the hoity toity... nevermind offer them a cigar!

I've never been so offended in all my life :D

There was skinheads in with lacoste trainers on & shermen shirts!!!! Who when finished a tab just dropped it on the floor.

I feel I may have to join the front room to take me away from this crowd

Simon L - You & your boys would be better technically & I would think/know you would be musically than what my ears listened to last night & Bank Holiday Monday daytime.

Mate, I know it seems like a personal attack but honestly it isn't. I just get sick of all these "message board DJ's" saying "I was gonna do this and that, but I didn't cause......" Cause normally being because the whole thing is a hughly exaggerated pack of lies!

Fair play mate, and no offence intended!

cheers fella, totally agree with that "message board DJs" part though, as youll know, wherever your djing at, everyone comes across saying "am a dj as well", anyway, where u play at, would be nice to pop along some time??
