Bryan Kearney - You Will Never Be Forgotten (A Tribute to Barry Connell) Just took this from the Hardwick board, what a immense tune a great way to make sure Barry lives on, absolutely fantastic tribute... read below. Fair play Bryan. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alright folks, I'm as shocked and as saddened as everyone else by today's tragic news about Barry passing away and i still can't believe. He was a true gentleman and someone who had a massive future ahead of him but cruelly had it cut short. I was fortunate enough to be over with him in The Arches for which we did our mix of The Man With The Red Face especially for the night and he nailed his Essential Mix. Some of you may of been aware of a trance track i've had in production for the last couple of years entitled SubCulture and this is a track which i actually finally completed yesterday. I've decided to rename this track in honour of Barry because he is someone who i had an unbelievable amount of time and respect for and someone who i will deeply miss. We were due to do a back to back set over here in Ireland in two weeks aswell which was something i was really looking forward to but now unfortunately cannot take place. The track is now entitled You Will Never Be Forgotten and if you would like to hear the track please go to my myspace page - www.myspace.com/bryankearney and it's the first track in the player. Barry Connell - R.I.P You Will Never Be Forgetten Thanks, Bryan
Aye its hard to take in, especially when its so sudden. Thoughts are with his family & friends. Hard Times
died in his sleep apparently. I had a mate who did the same a few years back - no health problems or anything, went to bed and never woke up
Christ, he was just a few months older than me. Just reminds you that you have to live life to the full RIP.
I still can't get me head round it! When you see the comments on here by anyone who was lucky enough to see him play and/or meet him, not one person has a bad thing to say and am sure that will be the same on any other board across the country!
I also had the pleasure of seeing barry play live 3 times ' & every time i saw him dj he rip the roof off were he played. Like i have said he was exceptional talent ' He cruelly got taken away from us ' it puts life in perspective you got to make the most of life & live everyday to the full.
I remember when he first made this as just an intro version & i've been itching for it to get finished as a full track it was originally named 'Subculture'. It's been about 2 years in the making & put off & put off until now. Hats off to Bryan for renaming the track & he's definitely done Connell justice.
This has to be my favourite trance tune ever, its fuckin awesome. Cant stop listening to it on Paul Websters latest mix, its just the intro mix that your on about aswell Proudy.
aye at beat therapy we had a crack on about it for about half an hour, was emmotional like. Immense tune, gets better everytime you hear it.
Yeh the intro is quality, aint listened to Websters mix yet, but not sure if it may be a little updated from the one I have.
