    im an electrical test engineer, so would be along the lines of electrical contracting and low voltage switchboard design and manufacture

    setup a company with someone who knows about all the admin/compliance/accounting stuff so you can concentrate on your product development.

    Buy an off the shelf ltd comp, change the name to fit your product (if you can be arsed), get a shareholders agreement and you're sorted. Will cost you a fair bit tho, maybe up to 1k just to sort all the paperwork as I recall (these are all lawyer tasks).

    Beyond that you just work for a company that you also sit on the board of, the two things are kinda seperate. You are just an employee like anyone else, you just happen to also be your own boss.

    Which is nice. :D
