Can you stop the blip between tracks on an ipod

it's annoying enough on a dance mix cd, but it's doing me napper in listening to Floyd cos you get the blip just before the next track kicks in

believe me I've searched everywhere for this and can't find owt that says the blips can be removed.... so if I reckon it can't be done, and so do you then that's it as far as I'm concerned ;)

cheers chaps.... not mad keen on sticking 3rd party firmware on me ipod but will have a look

Fiddla I know I could do the whole CD as a single track, but prefer having tracks....

I'll check itunes options but either way it's not the end of the world

    thanks for your contribution alex

... but as if by magic, I just installed iTunes 7 and it's currently running through the all me tunes "determining gapless playback information" which is slightly spooky but sounds promising

I'll let you know the results...

    aye I did

iTunes didn't manage it by itself, but it now has an option to mark tracks as part of a gapless album

and what's more it actually works  so woop woop

it did manage to shag the track numbers on at least 1 album though

and I also found 7GB of other stuff on me ipod which I think media player had put on with fucking asking me so I got that back too
