Change to the board? What about adding a casino section? Have it on other forums, with every post you aquire money, spend the money in the casino(Obviously its not real money like) Adds something extra to the forums imo, this place needs it!
A games section to the board. Its good craic. Example of the casino off another forum: Blackjack, Let 'em Ride, Lottery, Roulette, Slots: Bars and 7s, Slots: Fruit Machine, Slots: Ninjas, Texas Holdem, Video Poker

Nah. Simply because if it has a casino work will probably block the the site then i'd actually have to do some work.
If there's some interest from more people in something like this I'll look at adding it. Only thing I don't want to do is end up getting this board included on most people's block lists (like Aaron says above). So far I've added mods that automatically embed videos and links from youtube/myspace/vimeo etc, a "linkback" mod which tells you at the bottom of each post if anyone has linked to the post on the board, and I'm trying to sort out an automatic image resizer. There's tons of mods for vbulletin out there if you have a search. I was looking at implementing one which allowed people to log onto here using their facebook account (so that you don't have to register to post).
it would be class if you could get m.nucastle.co.uk - the boards canny awkward to navigate on my phone and a mobile site would make it a lot easier.
I can definitely look into that for you. I'll see if there's some mobile-friendly themes that may be easier to use on phones and the like.
I installed one, but it's shit (i.e. it doesn't work ) I've found some mobile-friendly themes and a plugin to make sure any smart phones browsing the board get pushed onto them, so the board will load quickly once it's all installed and set up. I'm off work next week so I'll look at putting it all on then If anyone else has any ideas for stuff they'd like to see on the board, let me know. There's thousands of addons for vbulletin - just google "name mod vbulletin" and if it comes up and people are interested in it, I'll set it up for them.
A chatroom is easy to do, but again we risk running foul of work internet filters. The other point is that a chatroom would make the board obselete and give people less of a reason to post.
Not broke, dont fix it. The boards fine, I even have it back to it's 'classic' look with the preference option at the bottom right hand corner - winner @ Willa - Casino Section (you've gotta be kidding man?)
Why not? It could be like a cyber vice club! In fact if it happens we could ask a shed load of illegal imigrants to join by sending them on invite on their facebook. If they do join, we'll rename the spice club.
@conway the iphone theme is looking good, but theres no actual board index. all i can see is PM's and online users.
