Chris Liebing Saw this DJ after waiting for years last Thursday and he was fucking awesome. The best DJ/Set I have heard for years. The man is a complete genius. He played the hardest most driving evil industrial techno I have ever heard...... there was no way you could stop dancing.... always LOADS going on in the music. He is evil as fuck. If you get the chance to see him - don't pass it up. He doesn't tour very much. IMO he's the top Electronic DJ around....... beating even PVD as Liebing music is taking off and PVD's is dying.
Technofish, where did you see him at? I've also been wanting 2 see this guy for ages! Could he play at Promise?
Snage> I saw him at Carl Cox's Closing night @ Space in Ibiza. It was the same feeling I got when I saw Cantona play...... PVD at Crasher in the late nintys.......... and thats about it!!! I was blown away!!!!! I didnt know that sort of music existed. Th dirty bastard raped me on the dance floor that night....... I felt violated!! Picotto is 3rd Gear.........Clarke 4th.......Liebing 5th!! He could play Promise. Promise used to be a class proggy club.....nice and dark with a good sound system. This also suit Techno. As for the crowd........... You dont have a choice mate HE BLOWS YOU AWAY. Check out Rue East - "Birmingham" Simms Mix & Woody Mcbride - "Basketball Heroes" for some example tracks. The rest I hadnt even heard ov...... there was one that had the vocal "House Weasel" over and over it..... some fucking tune. His next gig is at at Military Air Base in Belguim...........well suited!
I dont think I could listen to him in the house tho!
Chris Leibing would put promise into melt down, dont think it would go down well with the trance heads. Steven
Anyone got any Dave Clarke or Chris Leibing Cd's ?? Heard some Billy Nasty (think that was name) and was impressed like - im yet to see Dave Clake but ive heard bits n pieces and its good stuff - when people say Picotto has more "Technical Ability" than Dave Clarke then i laugh - Dave Clarke went thru 79 Records in his 2hr Ess Mix I think that speaks for itself - DJ'in gets taken to another level when Techno is involved
u can get through 79 records cos they all sound identical.. some hard four to the floor beat... you don't have to structure your set... infact u rarely have to beat match techno dj's... fooking ponces!
Did anyone go to Orbit to see him last week? He was outstanding... Tune of the night was some tune that sampled Eminem "Nobody listen to Techno.......Nobody listen to Techno.......Nobody listen to Techno......." Orbit, Dec the 14th: Beyer & Carola
I've just got a set of his from late 2001. Tis him and dj rush b2b for 8hrs at some thing called clash of the titans. I've only listened to 2hrs of it so far but from what i have heard it is wicked.
Chris Liebing is playing with Picotto at Storm in Coalville on the 6th of Feb 2004. Who else fancys it?
DAMN RIGHT I would, if thats ok?! He's one of the people who i would most like to see, he says one of his main influences was Adam Beyer so he can't be bad!! Pike is he as good as Beyer, surely that's impossible!
i might be able to get you a lift but i wont be there, i am going to coalville via manchester airport that night! Liebing is loads better than Adam "Drummy techno" Beyer
