Cleaning Timberland/Cat boots

    Cleaning Timberland/Cat boots

    Just whack a bit water over them & then scrub to clean them? Or is there a propper way to do it?

    not if it's nubuck - get the special brush... it's like a suade brush

    it's sometimes called 'brushed leather' - very difficult to keep clean... u get like a rubber brush and u kinda 'buff' them to get the dirt off.......

    If they are the leather ones, just wash the dirt off, allow to dry and rub in some Dubbin. Leave for about 24 hours afterwards.

    Those brush things for suade (sp again!) (someone please clear the spelling of suade up :D ) are really good! My like slouchy boot things were absoloutly filthy after foundation..who isnt..;) and i brushed them with one of those and they looked new again :) !!

    I just scrub mine with warm soapy water, works a treat :D

    I got my first Timberlands 13 years ago from Fenwicks for £120, I got them on HP and paid them off over 6 months!!! hahaha how mad is that!?!?

    where they the yellow suede/nubuck ones that laced half way up your leg? i too had some, bought from Lewis's in leeds...:lol:

    No No No the fucking Greeks love them!!

    There where the standard borwn leather ones as worn by Guru.

    I still have my original pair and they are wearable. Timberland boots have declined in qualtiy loads since then, U used to be able to get 10 years plus out of a pair but now they look like shit after 8 months... the leather is about 50% as thick from when they had a good name.
