A company called DUCO I used to recruit for were continually crying out for qualified drivers mate, if my memory serves me right you need a counter balance & reach license.

its one of the reasons so many people are getting laid off from full time employment because of recruitment agencies !!

It has absolutely nothing to do with why people are getting laid off.

The Candidate never looses out on money, nor does a deduction ever get taken out of their pay for an Agnecy finding them work.
What ever a company is willing to pay a candidate we then add what ever rates have been agreed on top the agreed salary/Hourly rate by the employer.

The employer looses out for using an Agency, not the Employee.

If the employer wasn't paying the agency money, it could be argued that they would have more money to pay the employee. However, they would then have to pay to advertise the post, and have more people in HR to filter applications etc, so it probably works out cheaper to use an agency in the first place.

i suppose it depends on the TYPE of agency, i worked for 1 in the 90's - i got £2.50 but i know the employer was paying £4.50 to keep the crappy job filled with us willing students.

well not really, a business is a business & will always pay as little as possible for a candidate regardless of how they find them, I dont think any business would rest on there morals & think in the sense that if a candidate has been recruited internally or for free that they have the spare money to afford an extra few quid an hour for them, it just wouldn't happen.

Should a business choose to use an angency as they have trouble filling a temp post the rate for the candiate is always agreed 1st (or we ask how much all of the other staff are on) then the rates for using the agency are added to that.

Again, the employee doesn't loose out by any means, if anything they've had a job sourced & set up by a 3rd party by doing nothing other than uploading a CV to a website.

that`s all a play on words from the recruitment agents point of view.

there`s alot more important factors involved from the person who`s doing the actual 9-5 job.

The agencies we use at work charge a one off fee, around the £7-£8k mark but that is because we are technical staff.

If we refer someone we get £3k if the person is recruited as we have saved the company the agency fee.

It all depends on the agency but I wouldnt say they rip the employee off, they are setting up an interview for you and first contact all you need to do is turn up.

Theres no factor other than turning up & doing the job your actually paid to do which is the exact same case in any job irrespective of how you were employed?

If thats the case EVERY employee could argue the fact they should be entitled to more money due a business making money off them by simply working for them.
