Dave Clarke@Firefly, Nottingham I'm off to see Dave Clarke play at Firefly at the beginning of June and just wondered if anyone could recommend any sets by him to download cos I've not really any techno before. Really looking forward to seeing him tho.
Was listening to one of his old essential mixes the other day, get one of them if you can. Absolutely class. Does loads of little tricks all the time like cutting and spins rather than just normal mixing. Do you know anymore about this night like how long it goes on
Dunno much about the night, except it's the club's first birthday, so I presume they'll be staying open longer than normal. It's run by some students at Nottingham uni. I'll find out opening times tho.
Just found out that with Dave Clarke it's Thrash Jelly, who play on 5 decks, but never heard of them before. It's breaks in the other room too! Can't wait!
Shame you're going for Dave Clarke, cos D.A.V.E The Drummer's on at Nottingham's other Techno night (the better one), Pure Filth next month
Re: Dave Clarke@Firefly, Nottingham i'm jealous m8 - id be goin myself but i've already put my name down for so much! He's one of my best producers too - got southside/wolf/compass/ etc. Will be a top night!
