Dave Pearce I just wondered what you would think about Dave Pearce playing at Promise? Would you like to see him or not?
i would like to see him, cos it would be funny! but seriously, no....we are promise, not the sugar shack. concentrate on booking real djs, tiesto, armin, jon o bir, maybe some producers, not radio 1 djs.
i saw him ages ago... summer 1999, was alright i suppose, was much more into cheesy trance then though. erm.. impartial really, gonna sit on the fence for this one.
if mark wants to make a lot of ££ then book him.. then again u wud get a high door taking with tiesto/armin/ferry/ etc...
woops! errr, cos hes too cheesy, plays alot of mainstram DANCE and im not into that, dont mind the odd classic and that but the likes of ian van dahl and that arnet my thing!
Dont bother. cos it will pull a lot of charvers in and i would rather see djs who can dj i.e. armin, tiesto, lee foster etc etc.
I would love to se him at Promise. ME Dangerouse Dave Gypsey Toothed Pearce Then i could have fun all night throwing those huge big round Edam Cheese Balls at him.
no way imo hes a crap dj, his tunes suck, and ill draw in alot of charvers, which is not a good combination, as each one of those points are bad enough! Id cry if you booked dave pearce
Can I also ask what is wrong with a load of chavas in the club? When Jules was on the crowd didnt seem that bad, the atmosphere was kickin! Does it really spoil your night if you see a load of chavas in the club, how does it spoil your night? Im not a fan of chavas who cause trouble and glass people and walk round the Bigg Market with blood all over their face, but have we had this trouble from big chava crowds at foundation? Is it fair to be hostile towards them coming to the club?
Would you like to see Dave Pearce at Promise? Why would you/ wouldn't you? I work with Mark and Rich.
I've always seen Promise as a top quality underground club with top quality tunes, and top quality DJs, booking Dave Pearce would deterr alot of even some of your most hardened fans, aswell as alot of music loving, potential punters in my opinion. You cant have a really great atmosphere in a club full of charvers. I mean look at his new cd....its got "Love Inc - You're a Superstar" on it....do you want to hear that in Promise? (or indeed at all)....because I know I sure dont!
Just so you all know...... I'm not putting up this thread because I want him booked! Dont you think any fan would be put off by going to see a DJ if they didnt like him/her? I certainly wouldnt go and see Tall Paul- I'm not a fan of what he plays! I dont think Dave Pearce would damage the Promise fan base! Having a Radio One DJ play at your club night would probably be quite awarding, maybe not! Would it be very damaging for promise to have Dave Pearce play, are his commercially edged tunes, trance classics and association with Radio one bad? Would the night be a success? Chris.... Im sorry but I haven't seen his new CD, nor have I heard "Love Inc- You're a Superstar"
Won't necessarily be a bad idea, nor will it destroy the fan base of promise, but i mean the usual crowd won't be there to see Dave Pearce - As not that many of promise's regular's are going to like time too much, so they will probably give that one a miss Then again, this is just my opinion, I could be talking utter bollocks promise regulars - would you be rushing to get to the front of the ques for dave pearce?
In all honesty I think booking Dave Pearce for Promise would pull a massive crowd and wouldn't be bad at all for the club. I know many regulars wouldnt appreciate it and wouldnt go, maybe like when Judge Jules plays!
