David Gilmour - 'On an Island'

Yes, the long awaited release from the voice and guitar of Pink Floyd!

Its a very Pleasurable listen, alot of very beautiful guitar solos and some excellent music but whoever is expecting a floyd-esque album from David will be dissapointed. Maybe he should stop letting his wife write most of the lyrics and write his own, like on his first solo album 'david gilmour' which was excellent. The album is very Division-bellish and very stadium rock, there are few tracks that are reminscent of the pyschadelic floyd between '67 and '70. All in all tis a very good album and still cant wait to see him in concert.

You've got such a way with words Chris

Decent album, lyrically ok and your typical Gilmour hooks & riffs which made him one of the greatest guitarists ever
