Your credit rating will also be fucked meaning when you go for a mortgage or bank loan or any type of higher purchase you will be paying premium interest rates.

    Your well fucked mate.

I'm not great with money (no savings, a few credit cards) but avoid getting into debt if I can, mainly because I work in debt collection and have seen the consequences too many times. :(

    Re: Debt

Snap. The day before New Years Eve O2 took £369 out me bank. I hadn't bothered reading any of my mail because, with my office being closed over Christmas, it's like a 2 week bender - nothing get's in my way.

I've paid it but, I too am also fucked financially because of late payments. Which is bloody ironic considering I work in a bank sorting other people's finances out. If only they knew

    Not funny really though :(

Hope you get yourself sorted mate. The worst thing to have is a black mark over your name because of daft mistakes.

yeah - grow up a bit

sounds like you've got a baliffs agency after you - u must have ignored that bill for months and months instead of 1 simple phone call to them to work some payment plan out. thats all it takes in most cases. if the baliffs are now coming - there's no chance - they'll want the full whack. far too late.

Hope u don't live at home and fuck your parents over.

aye ive been thick as fuck lately, over christmas i blitzed a lot of cash and was ignoring letters cos i was scared of what was in em.

i earn enough money to make payments but im just so fucking crap with money. ive gotta get a grip cos its getting worse.

aint really gambled lately, but drinking over christmas got rid of all my funds and more.

gotta ring this company up cos i dont understand the letter. hope they accept credit card! hahaa

If your that bad with money arrange with them to pay a proportion off it off every month, on pay day for example. That way your not just creating more debt by adding it to another card (where your only going to have to find the money to pay it at a later date too). Most companies will want the money in full, but if you actually propose to pay off on specific dates so much, they'll easily agree to your terms.

Unless you've totally fucked them over............

debt is only a bad thing if you cant afford to pay it back, I have LOADS but can afford all the minimum payments. Not in a position to pay them back yet but that day will come

just pay everything by standing order or direct debit if you have to. Do it on or as near as to pay day as you can.

Ive got a standing order from my bank account to my savings account which moves across £50 on payday. Then if i am skint half way through the month i know i have atleast 50 bob to keep me going. Plus if you dont need it then you are less likely to spend it if its not in you standard account

you need to be careful not to end up with ccj's because of not paying your bills...

tell them you want to work out a way to pay them back instead of ignoring the letters...it doesn't ever go away (until you pay it off)

my advice to you is to not go out for several months & try to et yourself back on track :)

its only really o2 thats on my back, i hate the fuckers :)

so u think if i phone this company up and propose a payment (i can give them 200quid right now) they might accept that as a start.?
