    Decent Places for Scran?

it's my birthday in less than a month and i'm trying to sort somewhere in town to go for some scran, but struggling for venues.

i've heard the silk room is canny, any reports on this?

last few years have been comfort food co/azzuri/barn asia/little saigon, any suggestions on somewhere different and decent would be much appreciated.

As You Like It is really good these days.

You'll have no chance getting booked in till Jan at the moment though.

Black Door Brasserie at the Biscuit Factory is great too.

If you're willing to travel, then Seaham Hall is meant to be amazing (Michelin stars n'that)

i've been hearing about the black door at the biscuit factory for a while like, this could well be an option.

i've been saying i want to go to seaham hall for ages too, reckon i'll try and swing that one for some point around my birthday.

and i know your bias on as you like it...

which resteraunts had people join the boards to argue there case a while ago? i've been looking for the thread with little avail :(

One of the most dissapointing Curry's Iv'e ever been for. I was also under the impression that the meal was a 'sitty down' on the Train. I ended up travelling 40 minutes up the road on some old haggared Arriva train from Central station, for a Curry that was no different to what I could get down Tynemouth for half the hassle.
