its a simple case of americans having no concept of irony. not one line in that song is ironic, which is the only ironic thing about the whole song.
Yup The irony is the fact that the content of the song is not actually ironic in the way she apparently intended it to be. Then again she never comes across as thick so maybe she knew that none of the examples were ironic and that is itself the point of the song. Simple init. Now somebody please define a paradox for a bonus point.
that thought crossed my mind. As for a paradox i'll give it a go; you go back in time and try to shoot yourself, just as you pull the trigger your arm "tics" and you shoot your past self in the shoulder. the paradox is that the tic was caused by the gun shot wound. i think i'm on the right lines here mate
paradox? guns? chickens? eggs? a paradox is something that would appear to be false or contradictory (especially at first glance), but may actually be true?
