DETOX | SAT 14TH AUGUST | SECRET LOCATION

Following the hugely successful 9th Birthday celebrations at Newcastle University back in Spring, DETOX returns on Saturday 14th August 2010 from 9pm – 3am, with an advance ticket only “secret location” event.

Original purveyors of the “secret location” approach in and around the North East of England since 2004, with infamous events that have taken place in medieval castles, art galleries, fire stations and the Tyne Tees Television studio (R.I.P), this event will be strictly no pay on the door and there will be no tickets on sale in any of the usual outlets.

Tickets for the August event can only be purchased via the usual network of friendly ticket touts and face book contacts.

Anyway, the line up goes a little something like this…

Clennel hall was the best Detox EVER! totally ruined!!!

not that I can remember

It was the one where the toilets were shared and Jon Obir told my friend who he was and that he could take us to a secret toilet - she then started griefing him telling him he shouldnt go around pretending he was osmeone he wasnt. she was gutted when I told her it really was Jon Obir

It was also the one where one of the DJ's (might of been smigs) put the window through his music was that loud

And Mick DJ'd on a pool table as there was no-where to put the decks

Quality venue

Featherstone - Some knob tried to light a fire in an upstairs room, the first time we used that venue all the other areas were locked off by the owner. The second time we visited he'd forgotten!.... and courtesy of Aurora's sound rig, quite a few of the single pane windows fell out that night.

Broomley Grange - Pool table made a rock solid dj surface for Amber D and others who played in the back room

The Clennell Hall gig was fantastic. A huge amount of random stuff went on the next morning with the organ donors climbing ladders, diving in the stream and one the slack lasses who'd come along with a banana and a pair shades shoved in her hairy vaj. There's a photo of it somewhere - I'll see if I can find it and post it up.

Melt's also just reminded me of the time he paid someone £15 to clean up the 'rave poo' with a pair of yellow marigolds from an upstairs bedroom at Featherstone Castle

Mick ejected the cd that was playing that night. A phenomenal moment

actualy he paid doobs with a cater of fosters i think....... or was that to clean the piss pots




i remember organs gettin wrong of clennal owners 4 squashin bananas off there room wall ,

Did one of them not ride a wardrobe and then fall off with the wardrobe following behind him? i'm sure one of their dj slags showed me a video of it
