Does anyone here play World Of Warcraft?

So this game now has something like 8 million subscribers

its the biggest online game in existence...

I was a total gimp and played it for a long time then quit 3 months ago...

now im back, and sucked back into its addictiveness again.

Does anyone else play this damn freakily addictive game?

Well ill tell you a few things from my experience.

    OK here goes.

In this game i have 1 Character which is classed as my "Main" . This character has 60+ DAYS played time on it

My Alt character which im playing now has 7 Days played on it.

And i was more social gamer than a lot of the people on my realm. There is guys there who, when you calculate the hours they have played on warcraft. it averages 10hours per day since release.

The basic gist, is to create a character, Mage, rogue, warrior or shaman etc. Then do quests either alone, or with people you meet in the world. You get experience and you level up, get better gear and better spells/skills.

There are dungeons in the game where it requires a team between 5 and 40 to complete. So you need healers, tanks and casters for example. (tanks are warriors with lots of armor)

The game runs on real time, there is areas where the weather changes. And the whole world changes from night and day in real time, the sun sets and stars come out. Graphically it isnt that advanced, but the use of colours and atmosphere create a great environment.

I love the game, not so much now as i used to (i quit a while back, and returned like i said :)). But its designed in a way that it can make you sit for 4hours at least without even battering an eye lid.

People have died playing this game, people have been divorced, abandonded their children, and pissed in coke bottles(saddos do this to save leaving the pc) all due to this games serious addictive tendancies :)

    fuckin minto game though

final fantasy games were brilliant, its kinda like them in principle, however everyone else in the world is player controlled, except for quest givers etc.

Aye but final fantasy doesnt have the depth that wow does.

final fantasy 7 was the peak of FF games, the newer ones are crap in comparison.

    but anyway.

Try warcraft at risk folks lol.

Back in the day we used to raid Molten core, a dungeon in warcraft on a sunday afternoon. This was the selected day for the guild. When it was all new and difficult, it could take from noon til 10pm. and still not finish. So we would go back through the week haha
