Does anyone import anything such as mobile phones from other countries? I notice on ebay there's a load of ads for phones and other electrical hardware for models that aren't released here yet and they all seem dirt cheap, however, they all seem to be for transactions outside of ebay which to me sounds like it's linked to some dodgy cunt conning people everyday. Does anyone ever import anything like this from other countries? If so, what is it, where did u get them from and do you pay import tax or anything? Cheers.

what do u mean by "importing"? a single phone or a load of phones? different countrys have different levels tax on outgoing goods and you have to hit that limit before tax kicks in. the customs and excise website will have full details.
Just one phone for me to use Unless I plan on buying and selling stuff on Ebay but I have no plans as of yet. I hear of people buying things from Malaysia etc quite cheap but i dunno where to look to be perfectly honest.
I would, fair enough the first time will be a bit nervy, seeing if you get ripped. Buy if you get a gud supplier think of the profit you could and would make? i mean after all, i know people who would pay much more for something in the uk instead of importing. So you import for cheap and sell for vast gains!
Theres a few ads on ebay for a minimum of 3 of the latest (most not even released here yet) phones for les than £400 for the bundle. Sounds impossible really and the fact that it's 'email blah blah if you are interested in buying' instead of going through ebay/paypal means i wont go near them I was just curious if other people had bought anything like this from another country and if so where from.
