    Dog medical advice needed

Does anyone know anything i can do to make my dog more comfortable?

His breathing is quite eratic and he's off his food. He's only had a few tablets so they wont be working very well yet.

But does anyone have any hints or tips etc?

We're working on the basis that he has bronchial pneumonia, I have taken him into the bathroom while i have had a bath to let the steam open his lungs and that seemed to work for a bit.

I've read stuff about vaporisers and stuff but its all in america.

    Thank you

Take off his collar, don't force him into playing or any activity

There won't be a lot of things you can do really at home, apart from keeping the environment humid and providing fluids. Putting him the bathroom for an hour with a hot shower running or whenever anyone is showering/bathing is a good idea

    :( Hope he gets better

make a make-shirft tent up with blankets and that, and put him in it and add a boul with boiling hot water with vix in it it sounds stupid but when i do that with vix it clears me up

My dog is seriously ill, he might die!!! I want to do everything i can to make him comfortable, if that means coming on this forum to ask for sensible advice then so be it. I want to do what i can for him.

He's been to the vet, thats how i have the tablets and thats how i know whats wrong with him.

This section i think you'll find is for general banter and not just people spouting shit about the shit necastle clubbing scene

People on here have good advice, hence why i ask......if you cant give any dont bother replying:mad:

It's either Bronchial Pneumonia or lung cancer......the vet doesnt think it's pneumonia but some of the things she was saying didnt really add up, like she said if he was coughing then she may have been leaning more towards pneumonia, well he has been coughing, that is how this all started. We have reason to believe it could be pneumonia though for other various reasons too.

She's given us tablets to treat it like it is pneumonia and if it doesnt work then we know its worse

i wasn't really joking - something menthol would help ease the airways as you described in the 1st post, but dont apply it as liberally as you would for a person.
