I'm going to Dublin next week

Anybody reccommend any good bars etc?

    Never been before!

Our hotel is right in the middle of Temple Bar :D

We are going for NYE for a couple of days.

    Cannot wait. It is quality.

Temple Bar is full of traditional Irish bars.

Temple bar is mainly the traditional/touristy bars but there is quite a few cooler/modern bars in Dublin aswell.

Sure you will have a good time wherever you end up.

    :)

I've been a couple of times and loved it. :D

Drinks are really pricey - buy a bottle of cheap vodka or something and get pissed before you go out.. It works out much better that way IMO as everywhere is open late and nowhere is busy until around 11pm.

There are LOADS of excellent bars in the Temple Bar area so you're bound to find something you like. Some of the bars with live bands were spot on, they all had a really nice atmosphere as well. Sounds like your hotel's in a perfect place for staggering back to as well. Both times ours were a little way out (cheaper) and that was the only annoying bit.

It's nice for shopping as well. :D
