    Dutch people in Newcastle?

Just out of curiosity, is there anybody on here that is Dutch knows any Dutch people in Newcastle?
    Know it's a silly question!
Just since I've lived here for 2 years and met no other Dutch people that live up here.
Get a bit home sick sometime, and notice when I phone my mates in Holland that my dutch is starting to sound funny.
They laugh at me and say I talk dutch with a silly accent!
So now I have a silly accent in both english and dutch!

Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side
It a gonna burn, give me music make me jump and prance
It a go done, give me the music make me rock in the dance''

i dont think this tune has anything to do with Dutch people

It would be perfectly understandable that 'socialising with Geordies' isn't high up on a Dutch persons 'to do' list.

And if I do find them, the chances aren't high it's people that I would get on with!

    haha no.

Actually now that you mention it, i think Scotty 1120 on here knows some simple Dutch and can hold a beginners conversation. 'how are you?' and 'where do you live' etc. might be worth PM'ing him instead. :)

One Dutch thing a lot of english people seem to know is:
'Neuken in de keuken' which means fucking in the kitchen.

    Quite random really! :D
