    Eating disorders

How on earth do people last when they have eating disorders like anorexia??

I hardly ate anything this weekend since my tea on Friday night and ended up fainting yesterday which I assume was related.

So that's only 2 days without food, so how do people who are anorexic or bulimic just not have any food inside them and not just pass out all the time :spangled:

Or is it because I'm so used to eating loads and loads and then just cut it out whereas they just eat small amounts??

they just eat less and less, but they don't suddenly cut down overnight, it's a gradual process over a number of weeks.

It's psychological, they tell themselves that they dont need food and anytime they do eat they feel so guilty about it they hate themselves for doing it.

Im sure they always feel faint and probably pass out all the time.

    its not good.

Thats weird...sometimes I go for like 2 days without eating hardly anything at all then sometimes I eat loads...Ive never fainted though. Do you not have low blood pressure or anything? My friend used to not eat much and whenever she didn't she fainted because of low blood pressure i think!

    Re: Eating disorders

People arent bothered about feeling weak and faint when they have an eating disorder!

Sometimes they feel like they want to punish themselves cos they feel ugly so they arent bothered.

Anorexia is bad when you are barely eating anything at all just because your weight plummets so much.

Bulimia can be worse because of the constant purging! Bloodshot eyes and rotting teeth and swollen glans = not good.

I imagine bulimia makes you feel worse. Its soo unhealthy!

That's crazy! Wonder how she put on weight.

The other week I didn't eat hardly anything for about 8/9 days. I never felt like fainting or anything, just quite weak at work, etc. I haven't eat anything since Sat lunch time, and now I've got a bug which is going round at work, I've never had sickness and runs like this before!:(

It's one of those that comes on after a week or something. One of the lads at work, his wife, had it a couple of weeks ago, then he had it last week, hope everyone at work doesn't get it or we'll be fucked
