Emergency tax I was Emergency taxed at the end of April and have had to wait till i recieve my p60 in order to get a refund. I have now recieved/sent off my p60 and was wondering if anyone knew how long it'd normally take to get a rebate and what method the Revenue will use, whether its cheque etc... cheers
If you had an R in the box where it states "R=Refund" then you will get it, with me working where i am i got two re-bates and they were just sent straight to my bank. I dont know how long it will take like, its up to you to get in touch tho which you have done so just bide ya time If you dont get in touch regardless of how much they owe you they normally dont send it
I just did this too....they aim to get money to you within 21 days of your claim. HOWEVER...the idiots that they are (not all of them of course, just the ones who happened to be in the Bradford Office) were so stupid that when they asked what I had been doing during my periods of unemployment and I had stated "Abroad" from May until August last year, they then sent me a form asking which country I was born in, when I came to the UK, if I send money to my home country, and so on.... I sent a letter of complaint and immediately got my refund A lovely £450 tax rebate
