We're the most watched country in the entire world.

Now we're getting cctv with built in 'instructional' speakers that will remind us to keep in line.

...... i'd rather not get watched thank you very much.

Right, im off to cover the roof of my house in bacofoil.

thats just it andy, train yards are more heavily camera'd than most banks; yet writers still hit them relentlessly.

cameras don't prevent crime; they barely asist prosecution.

More treatment of the symptoms, rather than the cause.

if there wasnt much violent crime or vandalism taking place, then we wouldnt need the cameras in the first place.

    (rosy tinted specs on)

.... Im amazed at how safe ive felt in places like Japan and HK (and europe) - you just get the feeling that people have better things to do with their time than hang around on street corners etc. ... Its a shame we havent cottened onto why thats the case, and done something about it - rather than just install cameras to watch the NEXT generation of feral kids ;)

andy cameras make no impact on crime; crime is just as rife now as it ever was.

we live in a statistic driven age and crime statistics remain constantly high.... if you want to tackle crime you tackle the cause.

we live in a surveilance state.

give me your surname and I can prove it ;)
