Nope, was shit. Was n't busy enough to have upstairs open. Which meant staying exposed to hard house/ hard dance for 5 hours.

Its a shame this like, i remem when GG used to have the boat on NYD and fair enough the line up was 2nd to none it would always be fkn stowed off and a total sweaty gurning ship come the early hours of the 2nd Jan.

I think for NYD up here to work its gonna be something special like the boat was, packed full of decent T DJ's at an affordable price and with a decent length of time.

thats why i went to leeds, was packed - but full of dodgey bastards trying to score skunk.

i think its a repeat of last year at sea *shudders*

the town was pretty much completely shut down last NYD and it was like clubbing in a ghost town, you have to remember some people just randomly choose what club they're going to when they're out. but since there was nowt open and no-one about, there was just the people who go for the music and the event.

plus a few fucking champagne charlies in the VIP bit. tossers.

i never went to any of the NYD boat parties - but they were done right, sea last year was a half arsed attempt but you could see the writing on the wall - this year was just a last stab in the dark

    Nail on head.

Last NYD had the potential to go 'reet off' but there was fuck all done promo wise anywhere in town the whole month of December. The line-up spoke for itself & was top draw, but if only a message forum knows it's on then youv'e got to expect poor numbers.

It's a shame about this year at Digital, I honestly thought it would have been busy, it ruined a few NYE's as a few mates were due to play so saved themselves & the back room never got opened.

The lineup was great for last year.

The problem was it was it was rushed and only announced about 3-4 weeks before NYE.

I went to all the Promise & GG boat events but you knew about them in about October or before.

Last year i knew there wasn't going to be a boat and as soon as i knew that i thought fuck it. Inside Out it is. Awesome night but with pretty much the same djs on as the boat hoever most people made plans to go elsewhere as they didnt know about the boat soon enough.

Nutshell: Newcastle NYD's are shite - end of.

People will take heed from digital, and travel off to bigger event's or go to events beforehand (such as crasher Boxing day, the NEC)

    never mind.

Awesome that was, Eddie playing Reincarnations same night as well.

Didnt expect him to play Atlanta mind, easily my favorite Marco v tune, he played Echoes as well

You could hardly move that night, i remember being sat down with Charley and Murray sat discussing the best way to find room to stand up for Halliwell coming on as it was nigh on impossible to move anywhere
