FAO nerds! spyware / adware I just purchased something that detects this annoying stuff yet everytime I try to log into Hotmail (my home page) it changes itself and goes to about:blank Really confused coz this damn spyware thing apparently detects when your home page is being changed and it does ask me whether or not I'd like to change it to which I obviously always say no. I can't get into any of my email accounts! Any nerds able to help? Would be muchos appreciated!

get ALL the patches for XP (as a general rule), virus scan your machine then run a full spyware sweep. I use Webroot as it's more thorough but some people like Ad-Aware or SpyBot.
