Fatboy Slim - Musical Hooligan on bbc3 last nite...

Any one else see it , lmao @ how mad norman is !!

On a serious note tho , what is peoples views on getting norman to play @ promise ??

Ive only actually seen him once @ godskitchen , may 2002 and he was amazing , played a really hard set and was visually entertaining right thru his set !!

Any one else like to see him @ promise ??

Would he be too expensive ??

i dont think he would really fit at either shindig or promise
more shindig i guess, though he would more likely play at Whq, for central or hipcheck

Don't think it would be financially viable....

He costs an absoloute packet and foundation is maybe too small a venue to make any profit from his booking... unless tickets were stupid amounts.

He also doesn't play frequent gigs, opting for once in a while gigs he wants to play....

yeah.. from what ive heard about his booking fee they would need to fill the club 5 times over to pay for him... if it were held at trees perhaps.

Im not sure what the capacity was @ Code before its transformation into Air , but when i went to see norm there it was £16 a ticket , which i thought was very reasonable !!

    Plus it was a 2 - 2 n a half hour set too !!

It was around 1700 if I remember correctly - but like any club they'd of let more in..... A company like godskitchen can afford to make a statement like that, its great publicity - if they lose money on the night theres the chance they'll make it back in the long term....

but I'm guessing they'd of made 30,000 + bar on the night... Not to sniffed at.

thinkin bout it FBS @ trees dont sound like a bad idea. but im assuming it would have to be a promise / GG night to get trees in the first place.... and well... i dont see FBS as a headliner on a GG night. :p

    we can dream.

tbh tho i think a lot of people dont realise how hard norm can actually play , if he played like what he did @ gods then i cant see why he wudnt make a good promise/gg headliner , mind you his opening tune was "Magic Moments" off the quality street advert quickly followed by sumit absolutely nailz , lmao he gave us all the v's as well when he played it !!

Just to add he didnt actually play any of his tunes in his set either but used the samples from some of them , which went well !!
