"Newcastle United the UK soccer club, is in negotiations with Lawrence Bender, the movie producer, about featuring in a trilogy of football-related Hollywood films.
"The club, its players - such as Alan Shearer - and its sponsors, could feature in the film if the talks with Mr Bender, producer of Kill Bill, Quentin Tarantino's new movie, are successful.
"Freddy Shepherd, Newcastle's chairman, said the possible film would the give the club 'enormous publicity' in new markets such as Asia. 'Hopefully in the next two or three weeks there will be an announcement that it's going ahead,' he said. 'It's going to be shown all over the world and will be a blockbuster."

Whether the films will be based on new plotlines or are remakes of previous productions is unclear, but if it's the latter here's a few suggestions:

Get Charvet
Three colours: black and white
North by North West corner

However, it's understood that there are no plans to remake The Magnificent Seven....
