    Fines

I got two £30 Police fines in the space of a week, in early January, for not having any tax on my old car...i paid both pretty much straight away (along with some tax  ) & thought that was that...

This morning a letter arrives from the DVLA and they have charged me another £46 per fine, for the same fucking thing

    I can't believe it

PS. Yes, i know i should have had tax/notified the DVLA that my car was off the road, but 2 fines for the same thing? Cunts.

I think you only have to pay the higher of the two. I might just be making that up, but it rings some bells for some reason.

I got an £80 fine for being drunk last month. I was standing in a taxi q in Tynemouth, waiting patiently to get taken to the Romna in Whitley. All of a sudden, a cop in disguise cuffs me and my mate for being d&d - we weren't causing trouble or owt, merely wobbling about.

    The fucking pigs.

Its true. The copper said he warned me earlier in the night but I know thats wrong because I was in the same pub all night until I went for the taxi.

I was going to contest the fine in court as I reckon I had him for a few things but the guy on the desk said I shouldnt bother as although I was innocent, although drunk, the CID would surely make some shit stick and i'd end up with a bigger fine.

I thinks it gone crazy nowadays, just another form of tax.

I wasn't really pissed and I have witnesses to the whole thing, including a sober lass who got threatened with pepper spray because she was arguing with the police officer as we had done nothing wrong.

I have nothing to hide, I'm not an arsehole.
