Tis alreet now but was canny bad few hours ago like! I was frightened!

i was dead naughty last nite - @ about qtr to 12, me,yvonne & parns went to the aprk & set off the rest of his fireworks.

needless to say a police car came past us b4 we'd finished...........

but it was ok cos we'd let all the noisy 1's off by then so we just set the rest off went back to parns' 2 pla ywoth the sparklers!!!!!

Dunno if you have calenders in your homes but it was November 5th afterall - i think we were expected to hear a few bangs! GET OVER IT - It was a different story when you lot were kids though wasnt it>?

Totally agree....I went to the hoooooj display at Aykley Heads in Durham and had a fantastic time.....until right at the end when a rocket came out of the fire and blew up right in front of us Shit meself.....well I didnt really but I was scared!!!!

we fired a display at heaton last night tho i didn't go like am full of cold *cough cough*

fireworks are class tho charvas with air bombs are dicks tho that shouldn't be a problem as air bombs and those lil rockets are now illegal as of today!!

We brought up a discussion about having a lisence to buy fireworks and i thought it was a pretty cool idea! Stop's all ya scallies playing with matches!

fireworks law is actually quite shady.

anyone can but category 1, 2, or 3 fireworks (cat 1: party poppers, cat 2: small garden fountains etc., cat 3: roman candles, garden fireworks and display fireworks). category 4 fireworks (shells and larger candles etc., much more dangerous) cannot be sold to the general public.

however you do not need a license to use cat 4 fireworks you do need a licence to store them.

so in theory although category 4 fireworks cannot be sold "over the counter" it is actually not illegal for anyone to fire them. it is only illegal to store them without a license.

the only safeguard that exists is that luckily the companies who make these cat 4 fireworks will only sell them to those with a storage license.

there should be a system whereby only propperly trained people are licensed to fire larger fireworks.
