    Panic Over!!!!

Don't worry Guys I was talking to Scooby on Saturday and all they are doing is closing the left hand side of the shop and saving themselves over £10,000 in rent per a year.
They've just blocked the doorways off inside the shop in order to seperate the 2 parts. :)

For some reason they only treat you like shit if you are a new customer. If you go in there regularly then they tend to be a lot more helpful.

    That's a shame.

Internet shopping must be killing the small independant record stores.

    Nightmare.

T'Internet it is from now on. HMV on only get one good tune a month or something. And now they've got even less reason to try!!

Bollox. Today is really bad. Flying is closing, bank refuses to give me money and get caught on the bus without a ticket. Even tho its in another pocket. I find the bastard, having paid for a new one and the bastard inspector refuses to refund it.

i used to love Flying way back when it was called Trax, they always used to be mega-helpful and had a wicked selection of stuff from all corners of the dance spectrum. I agree that it became a little intimidating in its later life tho... That said, shame its gone, as someone said above, it was indeed a Newcastle institution.

Havnt been to flying for a while now, used to go twice a week for ages when i was buying proggier stuff, always found them really helpful and friendly, only draw back is having to ask for the records to listen too. Tend to buy all my records from the internet now cos no where in town has a good range of breakbeat, HMV get the odd good tune in now and again and you can sometimes find a bargain in steel wheels. Shame its closed down tho, not really another record shop like it in town.
