My mate is wanting to learn how to scratch can it be something

that is taught as i always thought it was self taught

any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

I think you can buy elastic wrists off e bay, Halliwell bought them & he's pretty good

yeah, you can go to dj skills classes but i havn't seen any up here, i can scratch a little, I just learned through watching others, and videos online.

i'd say you need an hour with someone who's pretty good to tell you exactly what it is you should be practising and not just going at it mashing two tunes together in the dark

You cant really take a 2 hour "lesson" on it and expect to be the next shaddow but it always helps to see people do it. A mate of mine mixes hip hop and is totally amazing. He borrowed me two scratching records and the rest is history. You need to practice, just like you do to beatmatch

apparently q-berts dvd tutorial is pretty good but I havent tried it

q-berts the fuckin daddy i seen him at sanky's last year and what he can do on that vestax if just amazing so if your gunna watch any one and learn you couldn't do better
